This is our story
Founded in 1946 by Clifton and Thelma Porche, Uneeda Cleaners began its operations in the garage of their Houma, Louisiana home. Over the years, it grew from a humble family endeavor into a community cornerstone. After Clifton's passing in 1971, his son Marvin Porche and Marvin's wife, Barbara, took the reins to preserve and enrich the family legacy. Sensing a need for expansion, they moved the business to a more spacious location on Mystic Blvd in 2002.
Today, Marvin and Barbara's son, Mathew Porche, leads the business. Upholding the strong family values, Marvin and Barbara remain actively involved in day-to-day operations. Their daughter, Debbie, assists with weekly deliveries, ensuring that the third generation is still hands-on in the company. Further extending the family lineage, Matt's son, Hunter, marks the fourth generation to contribute to the family business.
